A five-day strike by Starbucks baristas that had closed 59 stores on Monday, spread to more locations on Tuesday, according to the union organizing the workers.
The strike, which began Friday in Los Angeles, Chicago and Starbucks’ hometown of Seattle, spread to stores in Boston, New York, Dallas, Denver, Pittsburgh and Portland, Oregon, over the weekend.
On Tuesday, picket lines formed outside the Starbucks on N. Arthur Ashe Boulevard in Richmond.
