ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. – A suspected earring thief was arrested earlier this month while behind the wheel of a stolen minivan.
According to the St. Peters Police Department’s probable cause statement, the jewelry theft took place on Dec. 6. The name and location of the business were not mentioned, nor was the time of the crime.
Police said Darlene Slaughter (age not provided) entered the business and tried on two pairs of earrings valued at approximately $6,000. Slaughter then walked out of the store with the four earrings still in her ear…
