College closed due to snow and ice for Monday, January 6

Randolph-Macon College undergraduate classes will be cancelled on the first day of January term, and most College offices will be closed, due to an approaching winter storm.

Road conditions are expected to be hazardous, beginning Sunday evening, January 5. The Randolph-Macon College Emergency Response Team recommends all students, faculty, and staff avoid travel until roads are cleared.

The following parts of the College are open and/or operating with an alternative schedule:

  • Undergraduate students who are completing a January term internship should communicate directly with and follow the directions of your internship supervisor.
  • Physician Assistant graduate students will learn virtually and should follow instructions communicated by program faculty.
  • Estes Dining Hall will remain open for dinner on January 5, and open at 7:30 a.m. on January 6, as scheduled. Hours are 7:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m., 11:30-2 p.m., 4:30-9 p.m.
  • Brock Commons will have 24-hour access for students, with Jacket Java opening at 7:30 a.m. and Birdsong Cafe opening at 7:45 a.m.
  • The McGraw-Page Library will open from 10 a.m.-10 p.m.
  • Brock Recreation Center will open from 6:30 a.m.-11 p.m.
