12 years for man accused of shooting at driver on Kennedy Expressway

CHICAGO — A suburban Chicago man accused of shooting at another driver during a road rage altercation on the Kennedy Expressway received a 12-year sentence on Wednesday.

William Wesley, 30, pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm and received the prison term from Judge Domenica Stephenson, according to court records.

Early on September 3, 2023, a 47-year-old woman was driving on the outbound Kennedy near Division Street when she got into a conflict with another driver. The woman told investigators that she continued driving, then heard about eight gunshots and saw a man shooting at her from a white sedan driven by another woman.
