A map of Waverly at the Pike County Heritage Museum is turning 100 years old

A map of Waverly is turning 100 years old this year. The map was drawn by a local man named John Robert Keechle, and his daughter Juanita Bryant donated the map to the Pike Heritage Museum. Copies of the map are located in several places including the Pike County Government Center, Diner 23 and Waverly High School.

“The map is of (the Village of) Waverly, and it was completed in 1924.” Bryant said “He has his name on it, John Keechle. I figured back and he was 21 years old when he drew the map.”…
