TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – New data from the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services shows that two counties in Northwest Ohio have some of the highest unemployment rates in the state.
According to that report, Lucas and Ottawa counties have some of the highest unemployment in the state. Ottawa County officials said this is a yearly trend, as most of the workforce is seasonal. But for Lucas County, this rate has to do with several industry layoffs.
