A man was shot and killed by police in San Bernardino County Tuesday after he reportedly attacked officers with a metal pole, officials announced.
According to the Fontana Police Department, the incident occurred at around 2:00 p.m. in a shopping center parking lot at the intersection of Cherry Avenue and Baseline Avenue.

“During the encounter, the suspect attacked the officer with the pipe, resulting in a lethal force response from the officer,” Fontana PD said in a statement.
Both the suspect and an officer were hospitalized following the incident, where the suspect succumbed to his injuries. The officer’s condition was not immediately known…
