CALEXICO — A San Diego man arrested and held on five counts of murder in connection with a 2010 traffic collision involving a pack of motorcyclists on Highway 98 was released from custody with no bail on Friday afternoon, Dec. 20.
A California Highway Patrol public information officer confirmed the arrest of Luis A. Gaspar for the five counts of murder and 11 counts of hit-and-run driving causing death or injury on Wednesday, Dec. 18, in the San Diego area and promised a press release would come, but it has not as of Friday evening.
Gaspar is alleged to be the driver of gold Honda Civic that on Nov. 13, 2010, passed a pack of 12 motorcycles on eastbound 98, causing an oncoming vehicle to go out of control and slide into the bikes, which were believed to be a motorcycle club from San Diego County named the Saddletramps…
