Shooting disrupts SW Side prayer vigil, killing man, wounding 6 others: CPD

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) – A prayer vigil on the Southwest Side Saturday night ended in tragedy after a drive-by shooting left one man killed and six others wounded.

Chicago Police said the incident occurred a little after 10 p.m. in front of a home at 25th and Spaulding in the Little Village neighborhood.

A group was gathered out in front when a jeep pulled up and a suspect got out of the vehicle and began shooting, police said.

Seven were people hit by gunfire and took themselves to Mount Sinai Hospital…
