Community Montessori has announced the first open house of the Starlit Sanctuary event venue, located within the 1866 former First United Methodist Church that houses the school, to take place on Tuesday October 22 from 4-7 p.m.
“We want to share this beautiful space with the Historic Licking Riverside residents and the larger community, as well as anyone interested in historic buildings,” said Community Montessori board member Loren Wolff.
Renovations were completed in late 2023, enabling the use of the former Methodist sanctuary as a non-denominational wedding and event venue. The booking fees directly support the school’s scholarship fund, removing cost barriers for students to attend.
Head of School Terri Rentrop said, “We are pleased to be able to offer part of our building as an event venue, making it possible for families of all means to benefit from a Montessori education.”…
