Fort Worth’s East Berry Corridor Plan Snags Gold Award from American Planning Association

The City of Fort Worth’s Transportation & Public Works Department has been honored with the Gold Award from the Texas Chapter of the American Planning Association. The award was given in recognition of their exemplary planning efforts on the East Berry Corridor Plan, which seeks to revitalize and transform part of East Berry Street into a more accessible and vibrant area, according to the City of Fort Worth.

Held in Allen, Texas, the awards ceremony followed a three-day conference that celebrated Texas’ city planning initiatives. The East Berry Street Corridor Plan extends eastward from I-35W and incorporates an extensive study to revamp the thoroughfare, ensuring it can cater to pedestrians, cyclists, and public transportation users alike.
