Habitat for Humanity of Lake and Sumter County held their annual Jingle Build-Off, which saw over 20 beautifully designed playhouses crafted by local businesses, organizations, and volunteers. From Frozen castles to NASA space shuttles to Jurassic Park-themed designs, each playhouse was created with love and care for local children.
“These teams are competing, but they’re also building for a specific child,” Danielle Stroud, CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Lake and Sumter County, says. “The playhouse will be gifted to that child on Saturday. For some, it’s a big Christmas surprise.”
Each playhouse was assembled and personalized by design teams competing for the Best Playhouse of the Year title.
