The Twinsburg Board of Education convened its organizational meeting for the 2025 school year on Sunday, January 12th, marking the beginning of a new year of educational governance for the district.
The meeting began with Maria Hamilton serving as treasurer pro tempore, followed by the election of new leadership. Ronda Crawford was elected as Board President, and Tina Davis was chosen as Vice President for the 2025 term. Both elections passed with four votes and one abstention.
The Board approved several key operational resolutions for the upcoming year, including:
- Setting board member compensation at $100 per meeting for a maximum of 45 meetings in the 2025 calendar year
- Establishing regular board meetings for the first and third Wednesdays of each month at 6:30 p.m., with some noted exceptions
- Designating meeting locations at either the Twinsburg Government Center or Twinsburg High School auditorium
- Authorizing a $10,000 service fund account for 2025
- Empowering the superintendent to file applications for district projects and employ personnel as needed
- Approving the treasurer’s authority to invest funds and manage district finances
The Board also appointed representatives to various committees, including:
- Finance Committee: Ronda Crawford and Leah Travis
- Building and Grounds Committee: Ronda Crawford and Tina Davis
- Curriculum and Technology Committee: Maria Hamilton and Leah Travis
- Policy Committee: Tina Davis and Maria Hamilton
- Athletic and Student Activities Committee: Tina Davis and Beth Egan
- Business Advisory Council: Ronda Crawford and Beth Egan
