A Rockville, MD man recently won $50,000 on a Monopoly scratch-off and plans to use the prize for a house down payment. The winning ticket was purchased at Hilltop Wine & Spirits in Prince George’s County. Full story below courtesy MD Lottery:
“It’s MONOPOLY season at the Maryland Lottery. A series of scratch-off games arrives in stores on Monday, Jan. 13, on the heels of the first $50,000 second-tier win in the $30 MONOPOLY X200 scratch-off, which launched in November 2024.
A Rockville man claimed the $50,000 prize this week in the game. The player visited Hilltop Wine & Spirits, buying the MONOPOLY X200 instant ticket and then scratched off all of the play area. He noticed he had a match with the winning number 11. The maintenance worker revealed the prize underneath the 11 in the play area and found a second-tier prize of $50,000. He was all smiles…
