DA: Former Pennsylvania doctor illegally filled prescriptions for 80 patients

BUCKS COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A former Pennsylvania doctor was allegedly prescribing drugs illegally to dozens of patients out of his basement, according to the District Attorney’s Office.

After being fired from Jefferson Health as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Kenneth Fox, 55, of Montgomery County, allegedly held appointments in his home basement office for $130, and gave patients a 30-day of Suboxone, the Bucks County DA’s Office said.

There were 80 patients in total who were receiving prescriptions from Fox, the DA’s Office says.

During the appointments, Fox never discussed the patient’s health or any issues. The DA’s Office says the patient would sit in a chair while Fox would be at his desk, and then once the payment would go through, he would supply a prescription for the drugs…
