Backup quarterback Marcel Reed and Texas A&M had a second half to remember as the 14th-ranked Aggies rallied for a 38-23 victory over eighth-ranked LSU on Saturday night at Kyle Field.

OFFENSE: B-

What went right: Marcel Reed looked like the second coming of Johnny Manziel as he accounted for 132 yards of offense with three rushing touchdowns. He made everyone on the offense look better or maybe they helped make him better. Either way, it was a winning recipe.

What went wrong: LSU turned Le’Veon Moss’ fumble into a 10-0 lead. Seven of the first eight possessions were painful to watch. Other than the 75-yard touchdown drive, the two longest possessions were 20 and 26 yards with four others in single digits, including a negative one.

Bottom line: The whole team played better when the decision was made to bench quarterback Conner Weigman starting with BJ Mays’ first interception. Reed, who has the “it” factor, took over from there and ran with the momentum…
