Volunteers needed for CASA of the Pikes Peak Region

(EL PASO/TELLER COUNTIES, Colo.) — Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of the Pikes Peak Region is hoping community members can stop by one of its many events this month and next, where people can learn more about becoming a CASA volunteer.

“CASA of the Pikes Peak Region provides a volunteer’s voice in court for children who are victims of abuse, neglect or domestic conflict and promotes community awareness of these issues to ensure safe and permanent homes,” according to its website .

CASA serves both El Paso and Teller counties and the following volunteer sessions, both in-person and virtual, are scheduled for later this month and in February.

In-person Info Sessions

  • Coffee With CASA in Woodland Park
    • Date/Time: Jan. 22 at 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 am
    • Location: 116 West Midland Avenue
  • Volunteer Information Session
    • Date/Time: Feb. 6 at 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
    • Location: 418 South Weber Street
  • “Couples for CASA” Volunteer Information Hour
    • Date/Time: Feb. 18 at 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
    • Location: 418 South Weber Street

Virtual Info Sessions

  • Jan. 18 at 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
  • Jan. 28 at 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
  • Feb. 15 at 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
