MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — The Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD) is asking for the public’s help in identifying the family of a man who was seriously hurt after a car hit him on New Year’s Eve.
MCPD said on Dec. 31 at around 6:11 p.m., officers responded to University Boulevard at East Franklin Avenue after a car hit 56-year-old Juan Ixpata-Vasquez.

He was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries where he remains in critical condition, MCPD said.
Detectives have not been able to find any of Ixpata-Vasquez’s family members or a next of kin. They believe he lives in Silver Spring or the Hyattsville area…
