Potential fight between students puts CCHS in Jefferson City on brief lockdown

A potential fight between students puts Capital City High School in Jefferson City into a brief lockdown.

Principal Beth Houf sent an email to parents informing them that the school went into a brief lockdown this morning.  Students were moved straight to their first hour classroom about five minutes earlier than usual to keep them out of the hallways.

Houf says the lockdown was done out of an abundance of caution over a potential physical altercation between students.  However, video surveillance showed that that the quick response of CCHS staff members prevented the altercation…
