Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Acting Regional Administrator Jeaneanne Gettle joined U.S. Rep. James E. Clyburn at a press event yesterday at the City of Columbia’s Simmons Tree Lane wastewater treatment facility to recognize an $8.7 million grant to the Central Midlands Council of Governments (COG) for community-driven solutions to cut climate pollution.
Other notable attendees at the event included Columbia Mayor Daniel Rickenmann, Columbia Assistant City Manager Clint Shealy, Central Midlands COG Board Chair Will Brennan and Climate Protection Action Committee member Bob Petrulis.
