COLUMBIA, S.C. — Some local school districts are changing their plans for Monday due to the ongoing problems caused by Tropical Storm Helene’s destruction.
Tens of thousands remain without power Sunday, meaning many cannot get a warm meal or shower. Utility officials have said it could take several more days for the lights to come back on. Particularly hard hit areas include Lexington, Newberry, Saluda, and Richland Counties.
