South Carolina QB target decommits from Georgia

One of the top quarterback recruits in the class of 2026 is back on the market. Jared Curtis, who committed to Georgia in March, announced he was no longer a member of the Bulldogs recruiting class on Thursday night.

South Carolina hosted Curtis (Nashville, Tenn.) earlier this season for the LSU game. He’s expected to return for another game at some point in November. His first trip to check out the Gamecocks was in the summer of 2023.

The No. 3-ranked quarterback in the country, according to 247Sports, is being recruited by offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains. Coach Shane Beamer is certainly involved, too. The South Carolina coaches continued to recruit Curtis, even while Landon Duckworth was committed as their 2026 quarterback. Duckworth, of course, has since backed off that pledge…
