Wolverines rally late, stun Opelika 46-35

Emotions were like a rollercoaster Thursday night at Cramton Bowl as Carver hosted Opelika on Senior Night. But after recent losses to Enterprise, Central-Phenix City and Auburn, the Wolverines went into Thursday’s game with a hunger like no other and emerged with a 46-35 upset of the Bulldogs.

The Wolverines struggled to find any offensive rhythm early and Opelika scored early in the second quarter and then recovered an onside kick to set up another score and a 28-6 lead, but at that point first-year coach Bobby Carr and his Wolverines said enough is enough.
