Columbus residents arrested after switching seats during chase with law enforcement

COLUMBUS, Ind. — Two Columbus residents were arrested after they reportedly switched seats during a chase with law enforcement on Monday evening.

According to a news release from the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office, deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a maroon Mitsubishi car after the vehicle failed to yield at around 10:51 p.m. on Monday in the area of N. Buckingham Drive and W Farmstead Drive. The vehicle reportedly failed to stop and a chase occurred.

Two individuals, later identified as 24-year-old Brandon Burton and 18-year-old Audrianna Hoover, were reportedly in the vehicle during the chase. The vehicle reportedly led law enforcement on a chase through eastern Bartholomew County.
