Every holiday season, Franklin is known for its Hallmark-like aesthetic. The city’s streets are illuminated by trees strung with Christmas lights. Every store is decked with ornaments and tinsel. Even the bells at Franklin College sing to the tune of “Silent Night.”
It is not just the decor that makes December the most wonderful time of the year in Franklin, it is also the work of the town’s small businesses and nonprofit organizations that execute the holiday events.
Kenneth Kosky is the director of Festival Country Indiana, which promotes tourism within Johnson County. During the holiday season, they advertise events happening in and around town.
