Warming trend in Carolinas continues into work week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – As the arctic air mass that has kept us with freezing temperatures over the past several days continues to retreat back to the north, we can look forward to a warming trend across the Carolinas through the middle of next week.

  • Sunday: Sun & Clouds, warmer
  • Monday: Isolated AM showers, partly sunny
  • Tuesday: Mostly sunny, warmer

We are going to wrap up this weekend with more sunshine and high temperatures slightly above normal.

Tonight, will be partly cloudy and not as cold with lows in the 20s. Sunday will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy with highs in the lower 50s.

Sunday night into Monday morning, a weak upper-level disturbance will begin to move east bringing a chance for showers for the start of the work week.

On Monday there will be a slight chance for some isolated showers, mainly in the morning otherwise expect mostly cloudy skies with highs in the lower 50s.

Warmer, drier weather will spread across our area on Tuesday and Wednesday; expect highs in the low to mid-60s. Some slightly cooler air can be expected for Thursday and next Friday with highs in the 50s and 40s. Next weekend looks partly sunny with highs in the low to mid-50s…
