Central Texas man arrested after high-speed chase through Montgomery County, Harris County

GRIMES COUNTY, Texas — The Grimes County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man after a high-speed chase on Tuesday, Oct. 29, per report.

On Tuesday, a Grimes County Sheriff’s Office deputy pulled over James Leo Harvey, a Plantersville resident, for expired registration at 3:30 p.m., according to the Sheriff’s Office. Harvey refused to exit his Toyota RAV 4 when asked to do so. Instead, he accelerated at 100 MPH away from the officer onto Texas State Highway 249, the office said.

As multiple agencies pursued him, Harvey reportedly sped through Montgomery County at speeds above 120 MPH…
