Suspect dead, deputy hurt in shooting in Montgomery County, sheriff’s office says

MAGNOLIA, Texas — A deputy with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office shot a man who punched him while responding to a call in the Magnolia area Wednesday morning, according to the sheriff’s office.

This happened on Aberdeen Drive near Turriff Circle, which is in a community off Dobbin-Huffsmith Road, around 4:45 a.m.

MCSO said a caller reported a disturbance between family members. When deputies arrived, a man refused to follow their commands, resisted arrest and punched a deputy, according to the sheriff’s office. The deputy who was punched reportedly used his TASER to try and subdue the man but was unsuccessful…
