A sunny start to 2025

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) – A cold front will move through the area tonight. That could produce a few stray showers or even a thunderstorm across the forecast area. The best area to have a shower would be along the border belt. The front should pass through early Wednesday morning. Cold air behind the front will drop overnight lows into the 40s.

As we kick off 2025, We will see lots of sunshine across the area. High pressure settles in through Friday. High temperatures will slowly fall a few degrees on Wednesday as we reach the upper 50s to near 60 degrees around our coastal communities. Inland temperatures will reach near 60. Overnight lows starting Thursday morning will be below freezing, with some locations in the Pee Dee in the 20s by Saturday.

A cold front will move through the area towards the end of the weekend, that will lower our high temperatures into the 40s by Saturday and Sunday. We could see a few showers possible on Monday. This cold front will start a series of cold fronts that will bring much colder temperatures through the next few weeks…
