CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. – Clayton County police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a woman who left her home earlier this week and has since contacted authorities to confirm she is safe.
Officers responded to a missing person call on the 900 block of Maple Leaf Ridge on Jan. 8. Upon arrival, they spoke with the woman’s mother, who reported that her daughter, identified as Markia Woods, left the residence around 8 a.m. that morning.
The mother discovered that Markia had packed her belongings and left a note explaining her decision to leave. In the note, Markia expressed love for her parents and said she needed time for soul-searching and healing. She assured her family that she would return one day.…
