Memphis’ first Black-owned welding school looking to shape the future of city’s youth

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – A first of its kind school right here in Memphis is looking to teach young people how to piece together our city and country’s infrastructure, all while making a good living.

Memphis Welding School on Jackson Avenue in North Memphis is the first Black-owned school of it’s kind in the Bluff City, according to the school’s president Reginald Lewis.
