Due to bad decisions made by one driver, and lenient penalties imposed by the Riverside County justice system, a Hemet man is dead.
Just before 4:30 Monday afternoon, January 20th 2025, 48 year old Javier Lopez Montes of Hemet was driving his car, and 34 year old Darell Davis of Moreno Valley was driving his car the opposite direction on State Street and Quandt Ranch Road in San Jacinto.
Davis was under the influence of drugs, and allowed his vehicle to veer into oncoming traffic…
