Get your proton packs ready before having a cold one at one these bars because they’re said to be haunted. Some believe they’re the former owners, former workers, or even some old customers that haunt the premises. So let’s see where you can have a drink with a ghost.

Wunsche Brothers Cafe and Saloon (Spring, Texas)

Supposedly haunted by the former owner Charlie Wunsche. Workers and guests claim Charlie holds doors closed on them, moves items, and messes with the electronics in the building. Folks that claim to have had an interaction with Charlie say they believe he’s just looking after the place.

La Carafe (Houston, Texas)

Supposedly the most haunted bar in Texas. This is a wine bar nowadays with the upstairs portion being unoccupied. Folks claim to hear footsteps coming from the upper floor. When people go to investigate, most times nothing is there. Others have claimed to have seen a large black apparition on the top floor.

Austin Tavern (Austin, Texas)

Well the story on this bar in Austin goes that back in the day it was brothel. A prostitute named Emily was allegedly murdered in the brothel and she is said to still haunt the bar to this day. Guests claimed to have been tapped, pinched, and a feeling of being watched while enjoying a drink. Balls have moved on their own on the billiard table freaking out some guests.

Blackbeards on the Beach (Corpus Christi, Texas)

No one knows who haunts this place but paranormal activity is said to happen on the grounds. Including moving salt and pepper shakers, slammed doors, and moving chairs as well. The workers believe whatever is doing this is just a prankster and not really a ghost trying to harm anyone.

Honorable Mention: Cadillac Bar (San Antonio, Texas)

Sadly this place was one of those businesses that closed down in 2020, but if you look up haunted places in Texas it comes up a lot. Apparently a former owner and employee are believed to be haunting the place, specifically the storage area. Going to get a restock on some supplies could mean running into one of them…
