Cold front tomorrow brings much needed rain to the area | 9/21 PM

LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) – Good evening Texoma. A cold front is starting to approach northern Texoma (I-40) as we enter the evening hours. This front will start to move in overnight and bring scattered showers and storms to the area by daybreak tomorrow.

Showers and storms will develop along this front as it moves into the area. Rain chances will increase for southwest Oklahoma in the morning hours tomorrow and for north Texas in the afternoon hours. As storms develop, some storms will be capable of producing gusty winds and large hail at times; However, storms will generally stay below severe limits. Still, everyone should be on the lookout for storm activity tomorrow.

Rainfall amounts will be greatest west of I-44 where a widespread 1/2 to 1 inch of rain is expected. Local amounts could get as high as 3 inches of rainfall. This is much needed rainfall for everyone in Texoma. Showers will come to an end by early Monday morning…
