New California law aims to prevent book bans in libraries statewide

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — By 2026, libraries in San Diego must come up with a collection development policy that would outline how they choose what books they’ll add to their shelves, as well as provide a way for readers to express their concerns about the library materials and giving them a way to request new ones.
