Titans Take First Set, Fall to UC Santa Barbara 3-1

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton women’s volleyball fell to UC Santa Barbara in four sets (25-22, 17-25, 13-25, 14-25) on Saturday night.

Ketesia Hall led the Titans to a 25-22 first-set win over the Gauchos with four kills and two blocks. Lyla Traylor posted two kills and three blocks, while Laura Williams and Bianca Martinez had three kills each. The four players contributed to a .364 kill percentage. The Titans recorded four service aces in the first set, two being by Ryleigh Garis who got the Titans to 20 points earlier in the match.

Martinez found four kills in the second, leading the Titans with seven kills in the match. UC Santa Barbara went on a 6-0 scoring run to overtake Fullerton’s 12-10 lead. Momentum remained in favor of the Gauchos who evened the match at 1-1, after taking the second set 25-17…
