Ylitha Woodard Ascends to Deputy Warden of Administration at Rutledge State Prison

The Georgia Department of Corrections is welcoming a new face to the upper echelon of its ranks with the promotion of Ylitha Woodard.

Having served previously as Business Manager at Metro Reentry Facility, Woodard’s new role will be Deputy Warden of Administration at Rutledge State Prison, a change that took effect on November 16, 2024, according to a recent statement from Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC). Her promotion brings her responsibilities including the oversight of the facility’s business office, property/supply operations, and food service departments.

With a commendable journey through the ranks since 2012, Woodard possesses a work ethic and leadership qualities that have not gone unnoticed.
