CINCINNATI (WXIX) – Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost is suing a Clermont County dealership and its owner for failing to provide vehicle titles to his customers, a violation of Ohio’s consumer protection laws, according to a Clermont County Court of Common Pleas complaint.
The court complaint states that Yost is suing Superior Auto Mart LLC, located at 1289 West Ohio Pike in Amelia, along with its owner, Tareq Daoud. This comes after 23 consumer complaints were submitted against the business.
Due to the failure to provide valid vehicle titles, the state disbursed a total of $14,227.30 from the Title Defect Rescission (TDR) Fund, according to the complaint. Yost says this fund compensates customers when dealerships do not provide valid titles…
