The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office is on the lookout for a man involved in a threatening confrontation at a Circle K gas station in Hammond. According to reports, including those from WDSU the incident occurred on Tuesday, December 5 at the gas station located on Puma Drive.
The confrontation began when a tanker driver, trying to access the gas tanks, asked a man to move his vehicle that was blocking the pump. The response was immediate and escalated, the man began by “verbally assaulting the truck driver and then pulling a gun from his car,” as noted in a release obtained by WWLTV. The suspect, whose assault was captured on surveillance video, was described as driving a recent model white Ford pickup truck, equipped with an aftermarket black toolbox, and aftermarket black rims.
Authorities urge anyone with relevant information concerning the suspect to come forward.
