Approximately 75 Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) firefighters responded to a fire at a single-family home in the 1400 block of Gerard St. in Rockville on Friday, October 18.
According to Chief Spokesperson for MCFRS Pete Piringer, the fire started in the attached garage, which included a gasoline-operated vehicle, and spread to the first and second floors, as well as part of the attic. Firefighters managed to knock down the bulk of the flames and are currently addressing remaining hotspots.
No injuries have been reported, but the fire caused significant damage to the home. We will provide an update if additional information becomes available…
