Woman hospitalized after vehicle crashes into DC building, ignites fire

WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — Firefighters in D.C. said a woman was taken to the hospital after a vehicle crashed into a building, causing it to collapse and catch fire Thursday morning.

In a post on X, just before 8 a.m. on Dec. 26, the DC Fire and EMS Department (DCFD) said crews were called to the crash in the 2000 block of Bunker Hill Road NE.

Detectives investigating deadly shooting in Southeast DC

When first responders arrived, they found the vehicle inside a burning building on the corner of Bunker Hill Road.

Officials said crews rescued a woman from the vehicle and she was taken to the hospital with serious injuries…
