CROWN POINT — A Crown Point man who allegedly had too much to drink was riding on a motorcycle with his girlfriend when he lost control of the bike and crashed into a parked car, after which he fled the scene and left his seriously injured partner behind.
Jack Stickle, 58, was criminally charged with felony leaving the scene of an accident, causing serious bodily injury while operating while intoxicated, leaving the scene of an accident with moderate or serious bodily injury and two misdemeanor OWI charges and one misdemeanor charge of leaving the scene of an accident, according to Lake Criminal Court records filed Friday.
Stickle struck the side of a vehicle around 10:30 p.m. April 13 in the 6900 block of 86th Place in Crown Point, a probable cause affidavit said.
