The public can weigh in on NIPSCO’s proposed 22% electric rate hike, which will cost consumers an estimated $32 more per month, at an upcoming public hearing in Valparaiso.
The Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission, which regulates utilities and sets their rates, will host a public field hearing at 6 p.m. Nov. 26 in the auditorium at Ivy Tech Community College–Valparaiso Campus, 3100 Ivy Tech Drive.
Attendees are asked to arrive 15 minutes early. They can give public testimony that will be officially part of the case record, but cannot ask NIPSCO or state regulators questions…
