11 News Investigates examines process DJS follows when it comes to monitoring juvenile offenders

Following the arrest of a 17-year-old murder suspect who was on GPS monitoring, 11 News Investigates examined the intake process and obtained data showing how many juveniles are being monitored across Maryland.

Tracee Parker, 17, was arrested Tuesday on adult murder charges in connection with a homicide in Columbia. Parker was under the supervision on an ankle monitor by the Maryland Department of Juvenile Services in connection with unrelated attempted murder charges in Anne Arundel County from 2023.
