It feels like there are more and more recalls happening over the last few years. And it is not just happening in the human food realm, it is also impacting pet food. But did you know that there is currently a recall on puppy food because of suspected Salmonella.
According to Kinship, a pet food company out of North Carolina is recalling their Puppy Mix over concerns that there has been Salmonella contamination. The brand in question is Blue Ridge Beef and the recall applies to their “two-pound dog Puppy Mix.”
The Blue Ridge Beef puppy food was sold in seven states between August 6 and August 23. Which states were impacted? That would be Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland and, of course, North Carolina.
