Bus stop at CCRI Warwick campus gets $1.8M makeover

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — State and local leaders gathered at the Community College of Rhode Island’s Warwick campus Friday to celebrate the completion of a $1.8 million upgrade to the campus bus stop.

The project, completed in partnership with the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority, included expanded shelters, improved lighting, and increased space to accommodate more riders.

“Another aspect of making college accessible is being able to get there,” Sen. Jack Reed said. “This will help many students, particularly those from low-income families, arrive on time.”…
