Christopher Kyle Harkins, 28, of Dallas, is accused of operating a silver 2000 Toyota Four Runner without its headlights on while under the influence of alcohol on Nov. 3 at 1 a.m. at the intersection of S. Main Street and McCollum Parkway in Kennesaw, according to an arrest warrant from the Kennesaw Police Department.
During the traffic stop, Harkins physically resisted officers by pulling away and attempted to run away. While resisting, officers were pulled into a large bush that caused several scratches and cuts to the officers. Harkins then kicked one officer in the throat and both elbowed and kicked a second officer while being placed in the rear of a patrol vehicle, according to the warrant.
Harkins did not have a driver’s license on his person, refused to provide his name and date of birth and was found to have a suspended license for DUI and failure to appear.
