Marietta School Board Extends Super’s Contract With Raise

MARIETTA — The Marietta Board of Education has unanimously voted to extend Superintendent Grant Rivera’s contract through 2027.

With the extension, Rivera’s base pay will be $269,742, up from $249,742. His total package pay with benefits will be $450,629, compared to the $425,873 he makes now, on top of an annual $10,000 bonus.

Rivera’s contract was extended by the board in November 2023, with a 6-0 vote, through Dec. 31. 2026. The board’s approval on Tuesday means Rivera will remain in charge until Dec. 31, 2027…
