Waterbury man gets 4 years for involvement in drug trafficking ring

WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH) — A Waterbury man was sentenced Friday to four years in federal prison for participating in a drug trafficking ring, according to the office of the United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut.

Jesus “Zeus” Maldonado, 34, was sentenced in Hartford to 51 months of imprisonment, followed by three years of supervised release for trafficking narcotics.

Bags of fentanyl seized in Waterbury arrest

Maldonado was found to be involved in the local “William Street” drug trafficking organization after investigators said he was heard via wiretap talking about distributing narcotics on multiple occasions.

He was also seen on video doing a 500-gram cocaine transaction, according to the office of the United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut…
