RANTOUL — A 40-year-old Danville woman died after being struck by a vehicle on Rantoul’s south side Thursday evening.
Rantoul police said Kristina M. Sherman was injured while she was walking south in the southbound lanes of Liberty Avenue (U.S. 45) and struck by a vehicle not long after police dispatchers were notified by a caller at 10:23 p.m. that a woman wearing all-dark clothing was walking in the vicinity.
